Description
All our fire pits come with a side mount key valve and Stainless Steel burner ring. A licensed plumber will be needed to hook your firepit up to the gas supply line and set the burner at the appropriate height and orientation. See “Install Diagram” (link) for recommended setup diagram.
Our fire pits are made of solid concrete, they are heavy, and built to last. They will arrive on a pallet, the driver will set them curbside where someone will need to be present to inspect and sign for them. Typically a contractor will be required to move them from the curb to your desired location. We have experience doing this, and if your contractor would like to contact us regarding moving and placing in a safe and efficient manner, feel free to call owner Maysun Wells at (805) 215-8302.
Your gas supply line (Natural Gas or Propane) should be stubbed up and capped off with ½” galvanized pipe 3” above finished grade on center. All fire pits have an oversized hole in the bottom to go over this pipe which also allows for drainage. Once set over the pipe, level with
composite shims, no fastening to the ground is necessary as their own weight will hold them in place.
Once set level, the plumber will be required to connect from the supply line to the valve, then from the valve to the burner, see Instal Diagram.
Your firepit does not require a pan to elevate desired fire glass or lava rock. Instead (once burner is set and tested) fill fire pit with coarse gravel (½” to ¾”) up to the bottom of the burner. Place desired fire glass or lava rock directly onto gravel so it just covers the top of the burner.
We do not supply the fire glass or lava rock, we will provide you with the amount needed per model. We have had good success purchasing this from American Speciality Glass, but it is readily available from a number of vendors online. We recommend a fire media size of ¼” to ½” but any size will work. Note: if you decide to use one of our wood top Ipe Inserts, the ¼” to ½” size fire media is necessary to allow this top to nestle into the glass and sit flush with the top of the firepit.
Our fire pits are made by hand in our facility in Los Osos CA. Each piece is unique, they are not mass produced. The install process on your end will be a bit more involved than a plug and play fire unit that you could find elsewhere. That said, once set up, our fire pits will bring you years of enjoyment and aesthetic beauty in the space you create for it.
